Genre Characteristics: - Our chosen song Eternal Flame is in the pop genre, we have shown this in many ways including: The little girl group of three, The cute rotating outfits, The make-up, and of course by using the green room we can edit the background which is often something you will see in female pop videos eg like in 'Thankyou' by 'Jamelia' and 'No Good Advice' by 'Girls Aloud'.
Visual/ Lyrics: - The most important words are eternal flame so we defiantly had to create some kind of link with this, we are going to change the background during the chorus to flames of fire. We were also going to use some candles to link in with flame as they're more subtle and link in more with love but we forgot to bring these in. We didn't have the time to do our rain idea although we could all somethin watery into the background using green screen.
Visual/ Music: - When there was more passion in the music and it built up we tried to immitate this.
Need to Sell the Artist: - We did this by showing off our clothes and done up images, making ourselves look nicer than usual. We also sold ourselves as a group by all singing and standing together for the main chorus, singing solo also gave the viewers a chance to get to know the band members individually.
Intertextuality: - We didn't really involve any other media.
Voyeurism: - The revealing clothing allows others to see more of our body than usual.

The Mise-en-Scene (Eternal Flame)
Costume: - We were all going to dress up in fancy clothes, something stylish, feminine and sexy. Music videos tend to show off the artists outfits and these tend to switch throughout to keep the audience engaged and inspired. We will bring two different outfits each.
Make-Up: - Our make-up will be done more 'made up' than usual to make us look flawless and glamorous.
Lighting: - Pure lighting, bright white.
Colour: - We will be keeping things very bright and colourful, because of our bright lighting we can work the colours well.
Setting: - We will be doing all of our filming in the green room and from there we will edit the background into things like flames and cloudy skys.
Props: - We might have some candles if we are allowed these in the green room but this is just something to try. We are planning to use a fan but this will not visible be in the shot, it'll be used to blow wind at us making the scene seem more floaty and dreamy.

"You wanna what" test edit
Today we listened to "you wanna what" and put together a music video using already made video. We noticed that some of the lip singing was out of sync but we were able to cut into the video and add parts of the other videos to interlink between the two. Also we noticed when they thought it was the end of the music video they chatted and laughed which meant we had to cut the video short. Learning from this we will make sure ours is in sync with the music and no messing about between the end of the music video scenes. There wasn't many different shot types however in the limited time we have to film our test part we will try to incorporate different shot types to bring diversity into our video. We liked that they used different locations in their music video and that made the video overall more interesting, this gave us a lot of footage to edit from.
Locations
We are going to film some of the video in the black room and also in the room with the green screen. For the green screen we are going to add the background of a city to make us look like gangsters.
Costumes
We will both wear baggy clothes which will consist of jogging bottoms and we will wear some well known brands on top for our t shirts and put some bling on too.
Props
we will try and get strobe lights, we will get glow sticks, we are also going to usespeakers.

Eternal flame pitch
1st Idea: -
- Over the shoulder shot of the singer looking into their past fighting with a lover, this would be shown using projection done in a flashback form. Pan shot around fight scene, perhaps freezing at a dramatic point whilst the singer carries on eg. a vase being thrown and smashed.
- Hense the word 'rain' repeated in the chorus we had the idea of sitting/standing in the shower allowin the water to rain down upon us whilst we're singing.
- The use of candles everywhere, in past (shown in projection) and present.
- A slight blue tint to the colour, this is a very calming.
2nd Idea: -
We realised not only was our first idea a bit over ambitious for a 1 minute lip synching task but it was more of a positive love ballad.
- A ring of white candles around us whilst we're singing, keeping it simple but effective.
- Maybe include some rain scene (with this weather i doubt any luck)
- Use the blue screen to have a big flame behind us burning whilst a fan is blowing our hair making it seem all floaty and dreamy whilst linking in with the lyrics.
